ABOUT

WATER SUPPORT

Our Story.

Water support is a project of Sub-Saharan Africa Technological Advancement Foundation(SATAF),  registered non-profit organization in Nigeria with a mission to support communities improve their lives through provision of clean water, and climate change resilience.

Communication has now made the world a global village. The idea of watersupport.org started from the pictures you see here sent by locals in a remote African village on a social media platform of the water crisis situation they face every day desperately looking for any support possible.

Pictures and the tweet were forwarded to me too one evening of spring of 2022. Sitting in my living room in the outskirts of Washington DC, I watched the pictures, and this is something I can relate to very well. As someone from sub–Saharan Africa, I could have been one of these people too. I understand their suffering and carry their hopes. The lack of safe water is contributing to a number of socio-economic issues including and not limited to increasing ethnic conflicts, force migrations, and health care.

I started reaching out to my friends and people I know who will be willing to provide support to the vulnerable communities in need of clean water. From our efforts, we decided that we can carry the message of these folks around the world and started raising funds among ourselves. We have been able to acquire drilling equipment.

We need your support to support our efforts to end chronic water shortage.
