About SATAF

A nonprofit foundation rooted in Sub-Saharan Africa, working at the intersection of clean water, public health, education, and technology to create lasting community change.

Our Story

Founded on the Belief That Access is a Right

The Sub Saharan Africa Technological Advancement Foundation (SATAF) was established out of a deep conviction that communities across Sub-Saharan Africa deserve permanent, sustainable solutions — not temporary aid.

What began as a focus on clean water access in northern Nigeria has grown into a multi-division organisation tackling healthcare, education, and technology-driven development. Our work is guided by data, driven by community need, and sustained through local ownership.

Today, SATAF operates across Gombe State and beyond, partnering with government agencies, international organisations, and diaspora professionals to build a better Africa.

Our Approach

How We Create Lasting Change

01
Community-Led Design
Every project begins with deep community consultation. We do not impose solutions; we co-design them with the people who will live with the results.
02
Innovative Water Solutions
We implement sustainable and innovative technologies — from solar-powered boreholes to biosand filtration — ensuring long-term access to clean water.
03
Local Capacity Building
We train and equip local community members, health workers, and government officials to manage and sustain programs independently.
04
Data-Driven Monitoring
We track impact rigorously. Every project is monitored with clear metrics, and results are shared transparently with communities and donors.
05
Government Partnership
We work alongside state and federal government agencies to align with policy, access resources, and build pathways to long-term institutional sustainability.
06
Transparency & Accountability
We provide clear, regular reports on the impact of every project, ensuring donors, partners, and communities can see exactly where resources go.
